I once believed life followed a predetermined path. As the oldest in my family, I thought I knew exactly who I was supposed to become. Life had other plans.

At 44, everything I had built had fallen apart. I was broke, living in a 6-by-9-foot storage room after leaving the family business. I felt like I had failed—as a son, a husband, and a father. For three years, I lived in what I now call my self-made prison. Looking back, I realize pride, selfishness, and the pursuit of material success had led me there.

Yet even in my darkest season, I never completely lost hope. My daughter, my faith, and even country music kept me moving forward. During that time, I prayed for three simple things: another chance at marriage, a son, and a Ford F-250 Super Duty. More importantly, I began asking God what He wanted to do with my life.

The answers came in His perfect timing.

In 2006, I met the woman who would become my wife. We were married six months later. At 47, I was baptized and discovered a life-changing truth: we are never alone. God is always with us. In 2010, our son was born. Years later, I even received that Ford F-250 I had dreamed about. God didn’t just answer my prayers—He transformed my heart. Pride gave way to humility.

Today, I live by a simple principle: When humility is greater than ability, there is stability. When ability outgrows humility, instability follows. Humility is the foundation of lasting success.

My greatest purpose is helping raise boys to become godly men, faithful husbands, and servant leaders. I believe that men without purpose drift, but men with purpose change families, communities, and generations.

For years, I doubted myself and never felt “brilliant.” Then I realized something profound: we are all brilliant. We simply haven’t all discovered where our brilliance lies. Until we do, we can say, “I haven’t started it yet.” Once we discover our God-given purpose, life becomes an adventure.

That conviction has become my mission.

My vision is to establish The Kingdom Academy—a place where boys learn practical skills, strong character, biblical values, and the confidence to discover the purpose God created them to fulfill. I believe every boy has greatness within him. Sometimes, all he needs is someone to help him uncover it.
